A solution for industrial, construction and domestic needs
For more than fifty years Follador Srl has been involved in the production and marketing of granules made from the corn cob and later also from walnut shells. Our granules are a highly reliable and quality product, the result of technology and experience.
The granules are used, based on their characteristics, in different fields of use:
- due to their abrasive and liquid absorption power they are used in the industrial sector for the vibrofinishing and tumbling of metallic materials; in construction and restoration they are used for sandblasting and shot blasting delicate metals, electrical materials or wooden beams; in catering they are used for drying and polishing cutlery;
- thanks to their high power of absorbing liquids, a consequence of the particular internal alveolar structure, they are used as pet litter, absorbent barrier and containment barrier;
- our organic granules can be used in their natural state or with the addition of numerous chemical substances depending on the use, both in the industrial and agricultural fields;
- the lighter granules are used as an ingredient for zootechnical feed and a source of fibre, a support for vitamins, insecticides, pesticides, fertilizers and as a component of insulating materials;
Vibrofinishing
Vibrofinishing and tumbling with abrasive granules are one of the many terms used to define the process for the mechanical removal of substrate residues due to processes such as molding or casting of machined pieces (particularly suitable for giving a surface finish with a high piece numbers).
Litter
Our company made and sell Tutolina, Tutolina with lemon scent and Cubolina, which make up our line of organic bedding for pets. These products are 100% organic and compostable. It means that after have finished to use the litter, everything will have decomposed in a few months. We also bag for third-party branded corn cobs and wood pellets, both in plastic or paper bags.
Polishing
Corn cob granules are a completely organic and compostable product, composed largely of cellulose. The granules are obtained by grinding and compressing the cob, which is the internal part of the corn cob. Follador deals with the production and sale of this product, which is also widely used in the catering sector for drying and polishing cutlery.
Sandblasting
Among the different types of abrasives for sandblasting on the market, corn cob granules are the safest because they do not create toxic dust for the body during their use, allowing a delicate and completely ecological sandblasting which does not cause health problems to the operator and do not damage the treated material.
Zootechny
The Follador Srl deals with the production and sale of corn cob organic granules also in the zootechnica field as a feed ingredient. In the zootechnica sector, cob is a feed ingredient suitable for ruminants and is useful for different purposes.
